Election 2012 / Colonel Chris Perkins Endorsed by the Washington Examiner – Virginia 11th Congressional District

Lorton, VA – Colonel Chris Perkins, the Republican nominee running in Virginia’s 11th Congressional District against incumbent Democrat Gerry Connolly, received the endorsement of the Washington Examiner this week.

In its editorial the Examiner writes that Connolly “hasn’t changed his stripes” since serving as the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors in Fairfax County. They reference his “F” rating from the National Taxpayers Union and how the Congressman has supported virtually all of President Obama’s domestic agenda over the past four years.

“I am honored to received the endorsement of the Washington Examiner in the race against Gerry Connolly,” commented Colonel Chris Perkins. “They understand how Virginia’s 11th Congressional District needs representation that will fight for them and not their political legacy within their party while in Washington.”

Chris Perkins is a small business owner, retired U.S. Army Colonel and a former Green Beret. While in the Army, Colonel Perkins commanded troops on missions in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Southwest Asia. Colonel Perkins has also served as a military liaison to Congress and consultant to the U.S. Coast Guard. Colonel Perkins currently lives in Lorton with his wife Petra.
