The Birdies at McCoart are chirping loudly about direction that County Executive Dom Peacor has issued to the Budget Office staff to hide the ball when those snoopy Supervisor’s Budget Committee people come asking their questions.  Peacor apparently directed in very strong terms that those in the meeting were banned from discussing Peacor’s “Hide the Ball” strategy outside of the room.

Why?

Peacor opined that the “crazy bloggers” would make it look like the County staff was trying to “hide something” and it would just “create confusion” among the commoners.

Really.

The Sheriff admits all those other PWC bloggers get a little off the rails sometimes.  Why, just look at my good friend Al Alborn where he just posted a most nasty message about The Sheriff’s choice of vehicles.  Just click the link below to see how going off your meds impacts one’s thinking.

And then there is Derecho, who is always off ranting about one insignificant thing or another.  Derecho went in a flat rant about Dom Peacor’s flight of fantasy in how to raise taxes without calling them taxes when they really are taxes and how PO’ed everyone would be if she got away with any of this:

And then there is that cabal of Jim Riley and his band of bloggers who blather on and on about decisions of PWC officials forcing viable businesses out of the County to make room for more developments:

Who cares about some Speedway going south?  That’s where all the rednecks are anyway.

And let’s not forget about Moon Howlings who is always out in the nether-nether land on some issue or another, including talking about things that happen in the County:

The Sheriff completely agrees with Dom Peacor.  No right thinking person should be reading any of this tripe put out by this group of irresponsible bloggers who create controversies about hiding information when no hiding is going on at all in the County.  Those other bloggers are a bunch of really crazy loons.

But The Sheriff is most disappointed that Dom Peacor forgot to tell the Budget Staff that it was Okay to pass along information to The Sheriff.

After all, The Sheriff would never allege that Dom Peacor was hiding anything, including the ball.

And The Sheriff is all about clearing up confusion among the commoners.

It obviously was an oversight by Dom Peacor, but it was a pretty big one.

So The Sheriff is asking Dom Peacor to immediately send out a memo to all the minions in County government that they should put The Sheriff as a “CC” on all County emails that float about.

The Sheriff will then be able to clear up any confusion created by those other “crazy bloggers” when they start making irresponsible and untrue claims about Dom Peacor’s plans and schemes.

How efficient would that be?

That way, the Birdies could get The Sheriff all the information right away rather than having to wait until they get home to send along all the tidbits of information.

And Dom, while we’re at it, could you issue me one of those “magic credit cards” you use to buy booze at BOCS meetings and then the bills never show up on any County records?

The Sheriff would really like that.

And Dom, somebody in that room where you issued this confidential direction ratted you out.  Now that is scary.   Who knows what those loose lips might tell next?

And no matter what people tell you about The Sheriff, The Sheriff secretly agrees that the commoners simply cannot process all the information about the budget and to hear about any of it will just confuse the heck out of them.
